Tabla & World Percussion Tuition
As a tabla and world percussion teacher, Jon is available for individual or group tuition for beginners to more experienced players.
Jon currently works as a percussion teacher at Wynstones School, near Stroud / Gloucester & as an instrumental tutor ( tabla & world percussion ) at Wynstones School, Thomas Keble School, Stroud, Sir Thomas Rich Grammar School, Gloucester & Pate’s Grammar School, Cheltenham.
Jon is also the tabla teacher for the South Asian Performing Arts Centre (SAPAC) in Swindon – Classes are held weekly on Saturday mornings at the Lawn Community Centre, Swindon. More info here or Contact for more information, or to join the class.

Jon has a BA (Hons) Music from Dartington College of Arts ( 2000).

For over 10 years Jon has delivered World Music, Indian Music & World Rhythm workshops to schools, colleges, universities & festivals.
Jon was an Associate Lecturer at the University of Plymouth from 2003 – 2017, teaching modules in Ethnomusicology, World Music & Composition with the BA Music students. Jon has also delivered workshops & masterclasses to the BA Music Technology Students at the university.

Since September 2012, Jon has been a regular music teacher at Wynstones Steiner School in Gloucestershire. Jon teaches weekly Rhythm classes to the Upper & Middle school students & also works as a peripatetic tutor giving individual instrumental tuition.
