Since 2003 Jon has been an Associate Lecturer at the University of Plymouth, teaching modules in Ethnomusicology, World Music & Composition with the BA Music students. Jon has also delivered workshops & masterclasses to the BA Music Technology Students at the university.

Since September 2012, Jon has been a regular music teacher at Wynstones Steiner School in Gloucestershire. Jon teaches weekly Rhythm classes to the Upper & Middle school students & also works as a peripatetic tutor giving individual instrumental tuition.

Jon has worked with a variety of age groups and ability levels, ranging from pre-school to university students and has a current Enhanced CRB Disclosure certificate.

Jon has a BA (Hons) Music from Dartington College of Arts ( 2000).

In recent years Jon has worked as a tutor or delivered workshops at:

WOMAD, University of Plymouth, Rolle College Exmouth, Dartington College of Arts, Somerset College of Arts & Technology, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Planet Drum Centre, Camden, South Devon College, Wynstones School.

Jon has also delivered school workshops across the South West region as an independent artist & through the organisations: Plymouth Musiczone, DAISI, SPAEDA, Gwent Music Support Service.
