combining electronic sampling equipment with a range of percussion instruments, Jon builds up dense multi layered multi percussion grooves as a base for improvisation.
These live sampling recordings are single take recordings with all instruments played, sampled and layered as in a live performance. ( see video clip HERE )

Jon has been working with midi sequencers and drum machines since the mid 1990's. In recent years this has moved to virtual studio work using software based sequencers, synth sounds and programmed beats combined with recorded percussion and vocals.
