Drumscapes Live Percussion Sampling Using a range of percussion including drums from India, Africa and the Middle East along with cutting edge technology, Drumscapes brings world percussion into the 21st Century. Drumscapes tracks range from highly energised rhythmical journeys to atmospheric percussion soundscapes. Drumscapes tracks were all created as live sampling performances with all instruments played, sampled and processed on stage. Jon has performed Drumscapes across the UK at events, Festivals and Melas including Cardiff Mela, Plymouth Mela, Fusion Asia Festival, Plymouth & Exeter Respect Festivals, Wales Millennium Centre, Band on The Wall, Manchester, Dartington, Exmouth Festival, Sunrise Festival, The Big Chill, Larmer Tree, The Forge, Camden, Barbican Theatre, Plymouth, Sonorities Festival, Belfast & Planet Drum, Camden Drumscapes And Dance Drumscapes music has also been used in collaboration with dance performances, both in live performance and using Drumscapes recordings. These tracks are created entirely with acoustic percussion instruments, vocal percussion and digital audio effects. The drones & electronic sounds are produced by processing the live audio samples of percussion & voice through audio effects. All playing, sampling and processing are done in real time, and are performed as live sampling / live looping multi-track pieces.
